Flax seeds are a renewable resource food item that can be planted, consumed or used in crafting. When consumed, they restore health and hunger to a blockhead.

Appearance

The small oblong seeds are short in size with a brown colored hull.

Where Found

Flax seeds are harvested or dropped from flax bushes located in nearly all warm biome regions.

Farming

Flax seeds are random products of flax bushes that grow seasonally and are harvested by hand or machete for maximum yield. Agriculturally, the seeds can be placed in a block of dirt, sand, or compost to grow a flax bush for farming additional seeds. See flax bush for more harvesting details.

Crafting

Flax seeds can be used to craft oil at a press.
