"Sleep is for the weak."

Coffee instantly fills a blockhead's energy bar to the maximum energy level, a full yellow bar.

Appearance

Coffee appears as a coffee cup filled with something dark with a wisp of steam rising from it.

Where Found

Coffee is a crafted foodstuff. The process for crafting coffee is:

  1. Harvest a coffee cherry.
  2. Press the coffee cherry with a press to obtain a green coffee bean.
  3. Roast the green coffee bean at an electric stove to produce a roasted coffee bean.
  4. With an electric stove, combine roasted coffee bean, cup, and bucket of water.

In addition to the completed coffee, an empty bucket will be sent to the crafting Blockhead's inventory.

Use

Coffee is consumed in the same way as other forms of food. Selecting it brings up a menu on the blockhead with their energy bar and buttons to use or cancel.

When coffee is consumed, an empty cup is returned to that Blockhead's inventory, their energy bar is fully restored (even if it had been empty), and there is a slight increase in their hunger bar. Starting in version 1.4, the energy bar will also turn yellow. In addition, a blockhead who has consumed coffee will temporarily be accelerated in its actions, such as mining with a pickaxe, walking, etc.

Drinking coffee will raise a blockhead's temperature slightly, and can cause them to emit smoke if it is warm enough.

Notes

Prior to version 1.4, coffee was prepared at a craft bench.
